The Artist's Eye was a performance art and fine art piece that was put up in collaboration with Rowan Lab Theatre. The piece took place in the Rowan Black Box from September 30, 2021 to October 3, 2021.
The Artist's Eye is an experimental art exhibit that intermingles Expressionist art made popular by artists like Vincent Van Gogh and the performance art done by artists such as Marina Abramovic. The art is being created by Rowan's Fine Art Department. The performance art section of the exhibit is a 6,000 piece puzzle being put together by a group of performers over the exhibit's 60 hour time period. Twelve individual pieces are being composed by a guest artist representing each numerical hour and being played only at the top of each of those hours. Overall, “The Artist's Eye” is an eclectic grouping of art that showcases life through the perspective of those that create.
